With high-profile sports – particularly football – we all know about the associated risks of crowd violence and even, on rare occasions, the less than sporting behaviour of players. And, of course, sports other than the beautiful game have had their moments.

We probably know far less about what goes on behind the scenes to keep sports fans safe at the various arenas and venues up and down the country. Once you stop and think about it, you will be amazed at how many security aspects need managing: gate entry, car park stewarding, crowd flow and VIP escorting – and that’s before the game even starts!

Brentwood has a great deal of experience in providing essential communications solutions at sporting events. We supplied a new two way radio system to Tottenham Hotspur FC when their existing equipment became out-dated and in 2015, we helped herald the start of the new season by providing Motorola DP2400 digital radios for the security staff at the Emirates Cup.
