More information

Part of the revamped Motorola DP2000e series, the DP2400e helps to confirm Motorola’s pivotal role in driving forward the future of digital two-way radio. The Motorola DP2400e is designed for the everyday worker who needs effective communications, putting cutting edge technology in their hands with enhanced audio, extended coverage and an advanced range of features.

A non-display radio featuring a 16-channel capacity, 3 programmable buttons and available on UHF & VHF frequencies, the Motorola DP2400e can operate in both analogue and digital modes.

With support for trunking via Motorola’s MOTOTRBO digital radio system, the Motorola DP2400e is part of the next generation of two-way radio solutions, opening the door to innovations such as multi-site trunking, radio-broadband integration and advanced control centre operations which will keep your organisation connected and improve the response capability of your teams.

Compared to earlier Motorola two-way models, the Motorola DP2400e boasts 16 percent better range and, like the rest of the revamped MOTOTRBO range, delivers up to 28 hours of battery life without the need to recharge courtesy of the innovative IMPRES smart energy system.

With an improved IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, the Motorola DP2400e digital radio is perfectly suited to harsh environments such as construction and manufacturing, where day-in, day-out durability is a must. It meets tough military-grade specifications for resistance to shock, vibration, impact, humidity and temperature extremes. In addition, TIA4950 certified models are available for use in hazardous locations.

As with the rest of the DP2000e range, the DP2400e benefits from Motorola’s best-ever sound. The cutting-edge IMPRES system provides consistent audio quality in all environments. SINC+ advanced noise cancellation technology and intelligent audio that automatically adjusts volume to compensate for background noise makes communications clearly intelligible in any environment. It also features acoustic feedback suppression.

The Motorola DP2400e comes programmed with Lone Worker remote monitoring as standard, which helps colleagues remotely monitor that every worker is safe. This is included alongside an emergency alert button and transmit interrupt features, ideal for workers in high-risk environments. The ability to make and receive private and group calls means you can communicate with certain colleagues without disturbing others, and there are options for both basic and enhanced privacy encryption to stop others listening in on your communications. Alternative methods of communication to voice are supported in the form of pre-programmable text messages, which are sent with the push of a button. There is also a vibrating belt clip option alerting the wearer to a call or text discreetly.

Software Features (Included out of the box)

DP2400 two way radios benefit from Motorola’s latest software enhancements, making sure you’re better connected in every environments. Digital features include:

  • Noise cancellation software
  • Automatic acoustic feedback suppression
  • Intelligent customisable audio
  • Over-the-air programming
  • IMPRES energy and battery management
  • Enhanced privacy encryption
  • Lone worker monitoring

Systems Supported

The DP2000e series is designed to be compatible with a number of Motorola MOTOTRBO systems that boost user capacity and extend the range of conventional two way radio. The DP2400e supports both Direct Mode Operation (DMO) and Trunk Mode Operation (TMO), two different modes of transmission that can be manipulated digitally for different advantages. In Dual Capacity Direct Mode, for example, you can double the channel capacity by having radios communicate directly with one another, by-passing network infrastructure. This allows more for more users on a given site.

On the other hand, Motorola’s Capacity Plus trunking system also boosts user capacity using digitised network infrastructure. IP Site Connect, meanwhile, connects networks across different sites via the internet, effectively overcoming the geographical barriers of single-site conventional radio deployments and allowing teams to talk to one another from multiple locations.

Warranty Options

The DP2400e MOTOTRBO radio comes with Motorola Solutions standard two-year warranty. This provides software updates, technical support and hardware repair to ensure your radio is fully maintained and continues to operate at optimal levels.
