Icom IC-F1000S

The Icom IC-F1000 range offers professional communication with a superb range of features. This model, the IC-F1000S, is a VHF digital radio without an LCD display. The two-way radio is IP67-rated and has a waterproof battery. It can survive a dip into water up to 1 metre deep, for up to 30 minutes.

All of the radios in this Icom range are superbly slim, measuring just 24.5mm. Despite their small form factor, they boast a slew of sophisticated features that will keep your workforce safe and productive. It offers 2-tone, 5-tone, CTCSS and DTCS signalling to prevent channel interference, and a voice scrambler feature that keeps your radio communications private across 16 channels.

Each unit has a built-in motion sensor that will sound the alarm if the radio is laid horizontally. Known as a ‘man down’ alert, it’s ideal for situations where your employees are working alone. The sensor can also raise the alarm if the handset shakes, so you will know if the user is running – perhaps in response to an emergency.
