Two Way Radio Hire For The Cursed This Halloween

This year, the Halloween extravaganza featured 7 different zones, with live action enhancing the spooky surroundings. Every visitor spent around an hour making their way through the different themed zones, trying their best to avoid the actors who can leap out at any time. The outdoors nature of the event adds to the grim realism, with slips and trips a possibility, and crawling a definite must.

Managing the Crowds

With any event, organisers need to ensure all attendees are safe and secure. Winter time brings its own challenges, including inclement weather and increased hours of darkness. The Cursed is designed with uneven ground and pitch black areas, so it’s important to ensure everything is fun and nobody suffers an accident.

The event is aimed at children over 12, although there was an under-12’s Halloween maze on Saturday 31st designed for the younger children. Again, security is key.

The organisers of The Cursed hired Motorola GP340 radios and D shape earpieces from us, so they could keep the event running smoothly. Our radios were used by the whole team, from the security staff through to the organisers who kept the event on schedule.

The Cursed is an intense experience, and occasionally, the staff had to step in and help someone make their way through the obstacles. Some attendees even ‘cheated’ and took the less scary short cut through the attraction. For the staff, keeping in touch was an essential part of making sure everyone enjoyed their Halloween night out, however they chose to move through the site.
