Part of Motorola’s XT400 range, the Motorola XT460 two way radio is a tough, reliable and straightforward business-class two-way radio that delivers excellent value. As an unlicensed handset, it delivers quality performance at an affordable price and is quick and simple to get started with.
Ideal for use in hospitality, retail, schools, light industry and construction, advanced radio frequency engineering, noise reduction and a powerful speaker ensures great performance even with hard use in high noise environments.
The handset is designed for convenience and ease of use, regardless of how much experience the operator has with two-way radio. As well as the main push-to-talk button, volume control and channel selection, it features a simple easy to read display and four programmable buttons, with additional scroll and menu buttons which provide quick access to features and user selectable channel groups.
There are 16 channels and 219 privacy codes to help ensure a clear signal and clear audio by avoiding interference from other transmissions. As well as the visual display, the XT460 features channel audio announce so a user does not always have to look at the handset to know which one they have selected. A tri-colour LED also provides handset status updates.
If operatives are busy and receive a call when their hands are full with other things, they can still reply and take part in a conversation using voice-operated mode (VOX) – the handset will automatically switch from receive into transmission mode as soon as it picks up their voice.
The XT460 delivers up to 20 hours battery life, which means two workers on consecutive shifts can often share a handset without it having to be charged in between.
While the XT400 series operates on analogue frequencies, it comes with digital fleet management software for added convenience and flexibility. HTML-based Customer Programming Software (CPS) is accessible from any computer browser. When handsets are connected, user profiles are interchangeable with all XTNi series models, making it easy to copy setting between handsets and to add XT460 radios to your existing radio fleet.
The XT400 Series offers exceptional durability in harsh conditions. Every handset is IP55 rated and meets military specifications for sealing against dust and water. The MIL-STD-810 standards also confirm rugged design against shock, vibration and temperature extremes. Moreover, the XT460 two-way radio is tested to last via Motorola Solutions unique Accelerated Life Testing (ALT), which simulates up to 5 years of use. This makes the XT460 the ideal radio for coordinating resources at the construction site or on the manufacturing line. An anti-microbial coating on the chassis prevents the growth of mould, making the XT460 the ideal choice for all your on-site business needs in environments where hygiene is a must.
The Motorola XT460 is a licence free radio that operates without subscription or call charges on PMR446 unlicensed frequencies.
