The latest upgrade to the range, the enhanced E-series, further underlines Motorola’s influential position in setting the standard for business class voice and data communication in the 21st Century.

The DP4601e and its sister radios are packed with advanced features for efficient operation and efficient communications. Featuring a five-line LED screen, menu navigation keys and 5 programmable buttons, the DP4601e is designed to make access to the very latest advanced digital technologies as simple and as intuitive as possible.

It benefits from crystal clear audio courtesy of the latest IMPRES amplifier, plus intelligent radio volume control and advanced SINC+ noise cancellation. This means volume and clarity are automatically adjusted to the optimum settings to compensate for background noise – perfect for making and receiving calls in a variety of working environments.

With a 1000 channel capacity, the DP4601e is ideal for large-scale, busy operations with lots of users on the network and heavy communications traffic. Users can choose whether to broadcast calls across the whole network, use Private Calling to send messages directly to individuals, or specify groups of recipients with Group Calling. The DP4601e also supports SMS messaging and can be integrated into telephone systems, plus there is built-in support for message dispatching and work ticketing. This all adds up to a high performance integrated voice and data package that will help to boost efficiency and productivity in any workplace.

Further support for large-scale deployment is provided by multi-constellation satellite location tracking. As well as GPS, the DP4601e also supports the alternative GLONASS system, and by calibrating both, can pinpoint a user’s location to high degrees of accuracy – perfect when you need to know where a colleague is on a large site, fast. In addition, the DP4601e also supports Bluetooth 4.0, which can be paired with Bluetooth beacons to deliver both indoor and outdoor location tracking.

Built to be rugged and reliable, the DP4601e is ideal in tough environments such as construction, manufacturing and heavy industry, with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance meaning it can survive being fully submerged in water.

It also provides a number of reassuring safeguards when operating in hazardous conditions, including an Emergency Button, Lone Worker monitoring system and Man Down. Emergency transmit interrupt allows any users that find themselves in difficult to cut through busy channels a distress signal to colleagues. Lone Worker requires users operating in hazardous environments to check in regularly with the network and will send an alert after a period of radio inactivity. Man Down uses an accelerometer to detect falls and trigger alarms automatically.

The DP4601e comes with a redesigned antenna and enhanced receiver unit that delivers 16 percent better signal range. It also supports Motorola’s new IMPRES smart energy system, boosting battery life up to a maximum of 28 hours.

Like all DP4000 series radios, the DP4601e is compatible with Motorola’s Radio Management platform, which enables remote software upgrades and over-the-air programming.
