Its durable, textured push-to-talk (PTT) button, robust rotary channel selector, volume knobs, and tricolour status LED make operation simple and intuitive. Additionally, two programmable buttons can be customised to provide quick access to the four most commonly used features, further streamlining communication.

The CP040 features a high/low power setting to maximise battery life, delivering up to 19 hours of use from a single charge. The low-power mode is ideal for close-proximity communication, conserving energy by reducing the transmission range. Motorola’s patented voice compression technology ensures exceptional audio quality.

Built to withstand tough environments, the CP040 meets the rigorous American MIL-STD-810F standard and surpasses the IP54 rating for environmental protection. It has also passed the Motorola Accelerated Life Test, simulating five years of heavy use in real-world conditions.
