Operated via the classic combination of push-to-talk button, channel select switch and volume control, the NX-3320E3 is straightforward to use and ideal for novice or inexperienced two way radio users.
It features Kenwood’s trademark Active Noise Reduction (ANR) technology, meaning background noise is cancelled from the signal to provide clean, clear audio even in the noisiest environments. This makes it a great option for use in industry or security where it is critical communications get through no matter what.
It comes with an in-built motion sensor used to trigger Man Down alerts in the event of a fall, plus an Emergency Button which interrupts all transmissions over the network should an alarm need to be raised.
The NX-3320E3 operates in both digital and FM analogue protocols simultaneously, making it an ideal migration option for upgrading to digital. Rather than having to switch all handsets to digital at once, existing analogue radios can still be used as part of a mixed fleet.
As well as dual analogue/digital operability, the NX-3320E3 also operates in mixed digital modes for voice communications. Every radio supports both NXDN and DMR digital protocols. Not only does this mean that NX-3320E3 handsets can communicate with both Kenwood and other brands two way digital radios, it also provides a flexible range of trunking options for increasing network capacity and using handsets at multiple sites.
The NX-3320E3 operates on UHF bandwidths, with 64 available channels without trunking or expansion. UHF frequencies offer reliable signal coverage in built up environments and when used indoors in places like office buildings, factories and retail parks.
All NX-3000 series radios feature a built-in GPS receiver/antenna which shares location data for every handset. They also feature built-in Bluetooth for hands-free operation. Each handset utilizes built-in DSP (digital signal processing) for identifying applicable Bluetooth profiles. It comes with Headset Profile provided as standard (HSP), with SPP (Serial Port Profile) available as an option.
All Kenwood NX-3000 series portable radios are designed with durability in mind in tough environments and each handset goes through a series of stringent tests before shipment. They meet the IP55 international water and dust ingress protection standards, which can be upgraded to IP67. This means the devices can withstand being fully submerged in water. All radios also meet the MIL-STD 810 C to G US military standards which test durability against drop, immersion, splash, key punch, extreme temperature, dust, and heavy rain.
All Kenwood two-way radios come with a two year manufacturers warranty.
