The Hytera PD605G offers superior two-way radio performance in a slim, ergonomic handset. Part of the Hytera PD6 series of professional handheld radios, the PD605G is the companion radio of the Hytera PD605, featuring optional upgrades including GPS.
Encased in a high quality aluminium frame just 27mm thick and with a weight of only 290g, this compact portable radio is as rugged as it is easy to use. It is IP67 rated, meaning it is sealed against dust, and can be completely immersed in water up to 1 metre deep.
The Hytera PD605G offers versatile voice call options, including individual, group and broadcast calls. It also offers a priority interrupt emergency function, which overrides active calls to raise an alarm. Other safety features include Lone Worker, which monitors colleagues at a distance by triggering an alert if their radio isn’t active within a fixed time frame.
The optional extras on the PD605G include Man Down, which detects trips and falls using an accelerometer in the handset and automatically issues an alarm. GPS positioning helps to speed up emergency responses by pinpointing where users are located, and also supports dispatch operations.
All PD6 series radios operate in both digital and analogue mode, and on both VHF and UHF frequencies, including an extended UHF frequency range. Dual mode operation makes the PD605 an ideal option for analogue to digital migration, as it communicates seamlessly with both types of radio. As a digital portable radio, it delivers a superior voice clarity and enhanced encryption, with built-in noise cancellation and 40 bit enhanced encryption as standard.
This flexibility extends to multiple digital modes. As well as being developed in compliance with the ETSI DMR standard, these radios support operation in DMR trunked mode. XPT digital pseudo trunking, a Hytera patented technology, extends the number of channels above the standard 256 available, providing better efficiency for larger teams. There’s also the option to integrate into telephony for extended connectivity.
With a standard 1500mAH li-ion battery, the PD605G can achieve an operating time in digital mode of at least 16 hours. It requires an Ofcom licence to operate.
