The Hytera HP795Ex IIC intrinsically safe (IS) two-way radio is built for safe, secure operation in extreme environments where there is the highest risk of ignition from explosive gases.

Compliant with strict IECEx/ATEX global standards for IS electronic equipment, this advanced model benefits from a revamped structural design, an innovative IS circuit and careful choice of materials.

It can be used safely at higher operating temperatures than other IS radios and around the most combustible substances, such as ethylene, acetylene or hydrogen. This makes it a reliable option for operatives in industries such as chemical processing, oil and gas, mining, aviation, fire and rescue and more.

The advanced safety technology includes innovative silicone encapsulation around the internal circuits, safeguarding against intrusion by liquids, inflammable dust, or explosive gases. This also reduces energy dissipation and allows for more efficient performance at lower inputs, which again enhances safety.

Similarly, the overall structural design of the handset is intended to ensure heat dissipation from the circuits occurs quickly and evenly, allowing it to be used safely in temperatures up to 60°C. Materials are chosen not only for their high strength and explosion-proof characteristics, but also for their resistance to electro-static buildup.

The customized IS battery is secured with a battery protection plate and anti-fail latch, ensuring the battery stays in place even if the handset is dropped to avoid the risk of sparks. The whole unit is tested to IP6X and MIL-STD-810H, guaranteeing resilience to dust, shock, and sudden drops.

The battery itself benefits from intelligent power-saving technology, reducing power consumption in stand-by mode. Along with the energy efficient design, this means each handset can run for up to 22 hours on a single charge.

Other enhanced critical communication capabilities include superior audio courtesy of a 2W high-power speaker and advanced audio technologies. AI intelligent noise reduction picks out and enhances human voice from background noise, and gets better at doing it over time. Automatic gain control increases or decreases microphone gain so to ensure consistently clear audio in all environments.

Meanwhile, 5W VHF and 4W UHF transmission outputs provide extensive signal range, reducing blind spots and offering reliable coverage even in remote areas.

As well as intrinsic electrical safety, the HP79XEx IIC includes numerous features designed for the safety and convenience of users, too. These include lone worker monitoring, which requires users operating alone in hazardous areas to check in at intervals with colleagues, and Man Down, which triggers an alarm if the in-built accelerometer detects a fall. In addition, satellite location tracking provides precise positioning data to ensure rapid incident response.

On the usability side, the HP79XEx IIC features an upgraded 2.4-inch screen, intuitive UI, enlarged buttons, status LEDs, textured non-slip housing, and a quick-release belt clip, ensuring a comfortable and convenient user experience.
