The next generation Hytera HP7 Series sets new performance standards in digital radios. Offering remarkable portability and ruggedness for ease of use across multiple environments and industries, the HP705 DMR two way radio is every inch the modern digital mobile radio.
The HP705 is built for supreme convenience, both in terms of being carried around on long shifts and how easy it is to use in one hand. An ultra-compact design makes the radio only 29.5mm thick and 290g in weight, one of the most slimline two-way radio profiles you will find on the market.
Despite its ultra slimline design, one of the most remarkable features of the HP705 is its exceptional battery life. The latest in proven lithium polymer technology is used alongside an optimized power saving design to deliver a remarkable 25 hours of battery life on a single charge – even though the compact lithium polymer battery is lighter than most less powerful radio batteries.
Aligning with its ergonomic design, the HP705 features a minimalist interface that supports supreme ease of use, whether you are a novice two-way radio user or an experienced hand looking for simplicity in difficult environments. It has just five controls in total – the ubiquitous push-to-talk (PTT) button for sending transmissions, two programmable buttons for activating optional features, an emergency alert button and channel select switch.
One thing the HP705 does feature that makes it stand out is a 0.9 inch OLED mini screen. Although it is to all intents and purposes a ‘no screen’ radio, this miniature display is there to show the channel currently in use. A handy addition, seeing as there are an enormous 1024 channels available, making the HP705 a suitable choice for large teams operating in very busy environments.
Busy environments also tend to mean lots of background noise, long the enemy of efficient and effective two way radio communication. Like all the models in Hytera’s latest HP range, the HP705 deals with this via a combination of an optimized forward facing speaker and AI-based noise cancellation that decreases the unwanted background noise and howling from every transmission. With up to 30dB of interference stripped from every call, you are guaranteed more efficient and more reliable communication with loud and clear audio in every environment.
As an additional innovative feature, the HP705 is designed to protect the integrity of its speaker from water ingress. Any water that gets into the speaker cavity is quickly ported away, providing extra peace of mind when the handset is being used outdoors in bad weather. Overall, the HP705 is rated to the IP68 standard for water resistance and dust ingress, meaning it is practically waterproof. Further adding to the picture of a two-way radio you can rely on, it also complies with MIL-STD-810 G, which among other things means it can withstand being dropped onto concrete from a height of two metres.
The HP705 is also built to deliver better signal coverage and more reliable connectivity than most portable radios. Increased receiver sensitivity extends the coverage range and improves audio quality even in weak signal areas.
With optional Bluetooth for wireless connectivity and multi-constellation satellite tracking, even the biggest teams working across the largest sites can keep tabs on where colleagues are. The HP705 is easy to handle and use. But sometimes, especially in busy working environments, hands-free is even more convenient. Connect a headphone and microphone headset via Bluetooth, and away you go. Hands-free two way radio.
Optional GPS and GLONASS satellite tracking and in-built alert and monitoring features provide enhanced user safety in hazardous environments. For safety and coordination, being able to track the movement of all users at all times is a major plus in industries such as events management, logistics, manufacturing, security and more. Features like a one-touch Emergency Button, Lone Worker Monitoring and Man Down fall alerts make sure the alarm can be raised in emergency situations quickly and efficiently, while empowering colleagues to keep watch over one another.
User Environment & Radio Ratings
The HP705 offers exceptional durability in harsh environments. It is IP68 rated for waterproofing and dust resistance, meaning it is submersible to a depth of 2 meters for 4 hours. It also meets the MIL-STD-810 G standard for shock and impact, and can withstand 2-meter drops onto concrete.
All Hytera H Series radios come with two years manufacturer’s warranty.
