More information

Entel’s DN400 series push to talk-over-cellular (PoC) radios combine the best of traditional two-way radio functionality with the convenience of universal cellular connectivity.

With a compact, lightweight yet rugged design, the DN495 has the look and feel of a standard workplace radio. But instead of having to pay for a radio licence for limited range and limited channel capacity, the DN495 connects to 4G LTE networks via an Idaro SIM for low-cost calls and data communication, without limits. That includes a virtually unlimited number of call channels for one-to-one and group calling.

The DN495 also benefits from Entel’s best-in-class audio quality, delivering natural-sounding voice from a powerful 3W speaker. The compact, ergonomic design means this radio can comfortably be operated in one hand while you work, while its tactile buttons are suitable for gloved hands. You can also connect a selection of wireless Bluetooth accessories for greater convenience in the workplace, including remote speaker microphones and ear defender headsets.

As for standing up to the rigours of tough working environments, the DN495 is up there with the toughest radios around. Its IP68 rating means every handset is dust protected and fully submersible in water. It also conforms to stringent MIL-STD-810 G military standards, confirming its ability to withstand shock, vibration and the corrosive effects of dust and moisture, guaranteeing many years of trouble-free use.

The DN495 also helps to keep your teams safe in tough environments. It features an Emergency Button which instantly sends an alert to other radios with the unique ID of the sender, as well as sounding a local alarm. Lone Worker monitoring uses a timer to check the status of anyone working unsupervised in potentially risky situations. If a user doesn’t respond within a specified time frame, an alarm is issued.

Finally, should someone fall and become unconscious, the Man Down sensor detects the unusual movement and automatically issues an alarm. As well as sending user IDs with alerts, the DN495 supports GPS satellite location tracking, helping colleagues to respond to calls for help quickly and efficiently. GPS is also used in the purpose-built Dispatcher App for keeping tabs on dispersed teams.

Entel’s radios are supplied with the latest, high-capacity, intelligent Lithium-Ion battery technology as standard, with batteries retaining their charge capacity without deterioration over time.
