In the heart of Norwich, Chantry Place has been the home of over 90 shops, cafes and restaurants since 2005.It attracts an annual footfall of 15 million and stretches over 530,000 sq ft.

Chantry Place had used licenced two way radios for many years, but founnd
staff had to carry multiple devices including mobile phones and personal digital
assistants (PDAs).

As a solution to this problem, Brentwood Communications suggested Chantry Place trialled IDARO. Future proofing radio communications, IDARO marries
the functions of push to talk two way radios with the features of a smartphone.
IDARO enables instant radio communication at a push of a button, over cellular
networks across the world – without the need for an ofcom licence. Completely
customisable, IDARO provides a wide choice of radios and bespoke data
packages, apps and features.

After Chantry Place trialled Samsung XCover 5’s which have full smart phone
functionality alongside IDARO functionality and lone worker options, staff found
the devices provided digitally enhanced audio and reliable coverage. Built to MILSTD 810G Certification Protection, the radio devices are dust and water resistant.

Brentwood Communications downloaded the Safety Culture app to the radio devices
which enables the Chantry place staff to work from checklists and audit forms,
as well as conduct inspections and produce operational insights across the
Shopping Centre. The app helps raise safety and quality standards, create
inspection forms and share professional reports across multiple sites, staff
members and external contractors.

After a successful trial period enjoying increased coverage across the shopping
centre by utilising Wifi and 4G, Chantry Place placed an order with IDARO for
over 40 users.
