Fox’s Mints Manufacturer Supplied with Brentwood Radios

Big Bear confectionary, manufacturer of Fox’s Glacier Mints and Mint Imperials, contacted Brentwood Communications with a requirement for two way radios which would be suitable for exposure to the ingredients used in their factories, high quality and easy to use. The equipment also needed to be heard over the noise of machinery, and provide coverage across the vast factory floor.

To assess what would work best for Big Bear, Brentwood organised a site visit to both factories where radios were tested at various points in the workplace. A complimentary trial of the ATEX products was also arranged, which can help customers to ensure that radios suit their needs before purchasing.

Brentwood’s Solution

The Motorola DP4401EX radios were chosen due to their high levels of protection and excellent audio quality. The radio also has a prominent emergency button and man down function, vital for instances where machinery is being operated and accidents can happen.

Single chargers were purchased for all radios, so that they could be charged in a number of locations. If the machines become too loud, Brentwood is also able to supply a number of ATEX headsets which would work alongside the radios.  All radios purchased from Brentwood come with options for service and repair packages which can extend the warranty of equipment.
