After Brentwood carried out a radio survey at the venues, their engineers designed a system around Motorola’s DP3400 digital radios. When programmed to the arenas’ repeater base stations, these delivered optimum coverage across both sites.
Motorola DP3400: A very easy to use radio, especially as it has a tri-colour indicator that gives clear, visible feedback. This two way radio is robust, tough and water resistant. The enhanced audio quality makes it ideal for use in noisy conditions; and extended battery life avoids the need for frequent recharging.
To prepare for a show, Brentwood’s engineers test and program the hire equipment before delivery. Their on-site engineer checks and sets up the system before handing over the radios to personnel. Even though Brentwood supplies chargers, they ensure there are plenty of fully charged spare batteries available. And they also provide ‘Heavy Duty Noise Cancelling Headsets’ – plus covert earpieces, where staff need to show discretion.
